This is an area of dentistry which encompasses a wide range of conditions and treatments. Many of these are well known types of treatments which most people have undergone at some point in their lives.

One way of thinking about this branch of dentistry is that it includes all those areas which do not fit into specialisms such as orthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, periodontics and prosthodontics.

In other words, they cover fillings, crowns, gum disease and dentures which are popular forms of treatment.

Whilst these might be commonly performed treatments they are still, nevertheless, important forms of treatment which are necessary to preserve the health and hygiene of your teeth.
